Goomba Got Back is a rap song parody of the Sir Mix-a-Lot song "Baby Got Back" by YouTuber Gaijin Goombah featuring an instrumental made by TheLivingTombstone[1]. This has become a major meme on the VvvvvaVvvvvvr channel.

Gaijin Goombah is a YouTuber that uploads videos related to anime and videogames. The concept of "Goomba Got Back" originates from the negative reception of Akiterra Goombah's re-design (Gaijin's wife and recurrent character on the channel) because of the unnecessary sexualization of her Goomba character.
As a response to the reception of Aki's re-design, "Goomba Got Back" was uploaded on YouTube. The song shows Gaijin defending the re-design calling the comments "trolls" and "haters". After the video was uploaded users didn't take the video seriously and began to criticize Gaijin Goombah for making this song instead of a serious response.

Although the first mention of "Goomba Got Back" on a rip was on the SiIvaGunner channel, the song would become more prominent on the VvvvvaVvvvvvr channel, being one of the most notable memes of Chapter 1. The count of vips featuring the song increased considerably on May 2017.
"Goomba Got Back" became less frequent during Chapter 2 along with other memes from the 2017-2020 era. On January 12, 2024, the channel celebrated the song's 10th anniversary but only on its metadata (the event used other parody songs of "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-lot).
