"Green Fur" first appeared on the channel with the vip "Halloween leak 100% real not fake - Just Dance +" on Halloween of 2024. A majority of the song's usage in rips is from VvvvvaVvvvvvr's Spooktacular Totally Not Halloween 6: The Green Steve Prophecy due to its relation to green. The fansubber Miracle Princess was the main contributor to use it. Many post event uses are by Tomigol.
Throughout Halloween 6, a minor analog horror series relating to the song would appear, all of which being by Miracle Princess. The story follows a leak of a song using the codename "TrickTreatGreenFur" as seen in the first vip referencing the song. The story progresses with a "Green Fur" infection spreading and infecting various people. The story ends within the vip "dark black forest (VHS Rip) - game not found".
