Hotel Mario Greenscreen is a popular fansub meme on the channel. The first rip was uploaded on November 19, 2017, consisting of an offkey mashup of Toasty Buns (Parappa the Rapper 2) and Main Menu/Map (Hotel Mario). This rip was followed by many similar mashups of the same shitty quality such as "eggs", "credits" and "gay waluigi". A notable exception to this is "anime is gay" which was actually onkey and used a variety of sources aswell as having visuals.
Finale/Controversy[]
Hotel Mario Greenscreen continued on for 18 mashups until the "finale" was created. The finale was a 3/4 4/4 mashup with Good Night - Undertale ripped from Siivagunner. The finale marked the end of the original era of hotel mario greenscreen. The creator, WholePunch, said in response: "I'll be putting it into other mashups but the series itself is just gonna be over, i wanna be able to submit something other than hotel mario rips. Most of the old ones were offkey and pretty shitty in retrospect. There was a period for about a month where i made about 20 mashups of it and then I got burnt out and 9 months later, its starting to lose its punchline and just becoming another overused vavr meme. Its still gonna exist but I just wanna lose the obligation to have to make hotel mario rips.". Many A few people were sad to see it go but it wouldn't be gone for long.
DABDA[]
2 months later, the rip "bargaining - (hotel mario greenscreen in characters that are invalid on this wiki)" was uploaded (in the WRONG ORDER). Many people assumed that this would be an edgy series based of the DABDA stages of grief, and they were right. After denial, anger, and depression nothing else happened because he was too lazy to create acceptance

3 months later, Hotel Mario Greenscreen Remastered started being uploaded to the channel with actual quality mashups.
