main theme   ytpmv, also known as YTPMV memes, was a trend during Chapter 1 where people would "rip" YTPMVs, i.e. to put them in the "Game Name" part of the usual ripping format. Technically the first rip following this trend was "main theme   rock my forum", and the second was that rip's counterpart during the reboot, "main theme   peanut butter tylenol", however the actual trend of making a bunch of these wasn't started until the "main theme   intensive smosh unit" rip extrapolated the pattern from the aforementioned two vips.

The trend is named after the "main theme" rips, since the majority of YTPMVs only got a main theme rip, although the more notable ones got a few random other rips, and a few YTPMVs got multiple rips but no main theme. In every main theme rip, the YTPMV is mashed up with a song created by the person being sampled in the YTPMV. The only other "track" which got consistently used was "lmao roasted", in which the YTPMV would be mashed up with a random Epic Rap Battles of History episode.

On August 15th, 2018 rips that used non-established YTPMVs as a mashup source without permission from the YTPMV's creator were banned from submissions due to multiple YTPMVers not liking their YTPMVs being lazily "ripped". This effectively killed the main theme   ytpmv rips.

The rip "Ending - YTPMV" (uploaded between the Channel "Ending" and True Ending) acts as a tribute and send-off to this trend.

Obviously, the first YTPMV meme is "Rock My Forum". Afterwards, "Grandlovania" and "Chadtronic Scan" were also memes, but they don't really relate to this trend, since they predate "Intensive Smosh Unit"'s rip.

Afterwards, the reboot happened, which used "PeanutButter Tylenol" and "How to properly clean your metal computer" as the reboot versions of "Rock My Forum" and "Chadtronic Scan", respectively.

Following the introduction of "Intensive Smosh Unit", the following YTPMVs would get playlists:

A few other YTPMVs also got multiple rips without a playlist, most notably "MadagascAAAAARGGGGHH", "Lavender Rosen" by Grambam36, and "Nico Yazawa Scan" which was personified as Nico Yazawa in Ends Here, Ends Now.

"OMORIBOY the PIRATE!!! ☠️☠️☠️" holds the distinction of being the only YTPMV playlist made in Chapter 2. It was exempt from the ban on new YTPMVs due to it already being a meme on SiIvaGunner.
