Nico Yazawa is the world's greatest school idol. She is the face of µ's, a group consisting of her and 8 backup singers/dancers. She an extremely important meme and main character of the lore on the VvvvvaVvvvvvr channel and was the winner of VaVr Fansub: King For A Gay. She is very important, and is the defining meme of the channel.

Appearance

In Ends Here, Ends Now, Nico appears similarly to her canonical Love Live! appearance, with her school uniform from that series but noticeably tattered. She also has glowing purple eyes due to her scan powers. In VvvvvaVvvvvvr: Chapter 2, Nico wears a cyan shirt in reference to Chadtronic Scan. Additionally, her skirt is stitched back together, her socks are untattered, her shoes are changed to simpler ones, and her eyes don't glow since she doesn't have powers anymore.

Depiction on the channel

Nico Yazawa appears in the most important super duper epic medium-high varying quality vips on the channel. While her beautiful singing voice is featured in most µ's-era Love Live! songs, Nico made her first solo appearance on VvvvvaVvvvvvr in the vip "intro screen - nico nico ni". This vip features her lovable and memorable catch-phrase, "Nico nico nii~!"

Nico Yazawa Scan (2018)

The Nico Yazawa Scan series of rips is her most prominent appearances. These are all based on the masterpiece of a YTPMV known as "Nico Yazawa Scan", which turns various Nico samples into a unique rendition of the song "Shuric Scan" by t-port. The arrangement featured in this YTPMV is unlike any other, and pushes the limits of the chromatic scale. Some of them also feature the song "Nico Yazawa vs Natsuki", which depicts Nico absolutely destroying Natsuki from Doki Doki Literature Club! in a rap battle.

On the VvvvvaVvvvvvr channel, almost all of the Nico Yazawa Scan rips were made by TurretBot. It is one of his most well-recieved memes, rivaling "Shelter" in popularity. Unfortunately, these rips were only made during Autumn 2018. Thankfully, they were brought back for the Fansubber Hijack Week in 2020, just before the end of Chapter 1.

Ends Here, Ends Now (2020)

After being teased in the second and third episodes, Nico appears as the tragic hero of the fourth episode of Ends Here, Ends Now. In this episode, Nico confronts her neglectful former superior, VvvvvaVvvvvvr, who left her to die in 2018. After VvvvvaVvvvvvr refused to apologize to her for his neglectful and abusive actions, and repeated his previous sentiment that she is a "shit meme", Nico had finally had enough, and used her special attack, .veg maggots (channeling another "Shuric Scan"-related meme). She then summoned .veg portals and pushed NnnnnaNnnnnnr into one, banishing him to the scan dimension.

Unfortunately, NnnnnaNnnnnnr managed to escape the hypnotizing beauty of the scan dimension, and pushed Nico into one of her own portals, sending her into the scan dimension. However, the momentum from the push caused her to zip by and fall through a different .veg portal, which led her into the rip "main theme - dog dancing scan". This caused all of Nico's .veg maggots and .veg portals to disappear as well, letting VvvvvaVvvvvvr and NnnnnaNnnnnnr free to continue their journey.

Nlogs (2023)

In the video "Nlog 2020/09/16: Yazawa", which is a written monologue from NnnnnaNnnnnnr documenting his experience on the date September 16th, 2020, it is revealed that Nico was trapped inside the "main theme - dog dancing scan" rip for around four months, until the aforementioned date when NnnnnaNnnnnnr pulled her out. She does not recognize NnnnnaNnnnnnr, and thinks he is VvvvvaVvvvvvr, but she's restless and runs out of energy to insult him, at which point NnnnnaNnnnnnr clears up the misunderstanding. However, NnnnnaNnnnnnr, being a careless idiot, forgets to close the portal after taking her out of the rip, allowing a dancing dog to escape from it as well.

In the video "Nlog 2021/05/28: Opportunities", which was uploaded earlier but takes place afterward chronologically, Nico is briefly mentioned at the end as being the only person to recognize NnnnnaNnnnnnr as more than just being that one guy who was VvvvvaVvvvvvr's friend.

VvvvvaVvvvvvr: Chapter 2 (2023)

In episode two of VvvvvaVvvvvvr: Chapter 2, Nico appears along with an extremely huge crowd of people who showed up because VvvvvaVvvvvvr started uploading again. Unlike the rest of the crowd, she's not happy about his return, pointing out that NnnnnaNnnnnnr lied to her earlier about V being dead. Her presence causes VvvvvaVvvvvvr to immediately ditch the episode because he hates her that much, but NnnnnaNnnnnnr and Nico stop him from ending the episode.

However, the dancing dog jumpscares Nico, causing her to lapse into an episode. NnnnnaNnnnnnr then tells VvvvvaVvvvvvr he's an asshole for insulting a disabled person, and noting again that Nico is his friend because she's the only one who sees past his status as "VvvvvaVvvvvvr's friend". VvvvvaVvvvvvr, now realizing that people care way too fucking much about him, appears to find some common ground with Nico in thinking that he's not too special. With them reaching an agreement, Nico gives VvvvvaVvvvvvr a microphone she had stashed away, which he then uses to tell off the crowd of people.

She is last seen watching VvvvvaVvvvvvr getting back to ripping at IiiiiaIiiiiir's request, as was established in the first episode of the series. Her fate after this is unknown because she didn't appear in any of the later lore videos, but she's presumably in VvvvvaVvvvvvr's house somewhere, since there's absolutely no way she could leave a building off-screen.

that one [v]avr dating sim thats [n]ot real idk tho (2023)

In "naco (totally super canon version) - that one [v]avr dating sim thats [n]ot real idk tho", a gameplay recording of the completely real advertised video game, Nico is shown to have visited NnnnnaNnnnnnr on July 7, 2021, much to his surprise. After a few minutes of the her venting about her social troubles, the two have a hot makeout session. Haters will say that this moment isn't canon, however this video has been put in the Chapter 2 playlist which means it totally 100% is. After all, there has never been a non-canon video added to the Chapter 2 playlist.
